About the Proprietor
Allyson Bode
I am a multi-media fabrication artist, and my work is heavily influenced by my background in theater and special effects.
I consider my artwork to be a trek into the weird and whimsical recesses of my imagination. The subject matter is always changing, and I like to use various materials in my pieces, ranging from the traditional to the unconventional. I love experimenting in new and different ways. My style is constantly evolving, but my goal is always the same; I want to provide an escape from reality for the viewer and allow them to experience their own strange and unexpected journey.
I am originally from Little Rock, AR, but I currently live and work in Orlando, FL. I attended Hendrix College in Conway, AR and graduated in 2010 with a B.F.A. in both Studio Art and German Language. In 2017, I graduated from the Douglas Education Center in Monessen, PA with an Associate’s degree in specialized business for Special Makeup Effects.
As I am the proprietor of SoulSpeak Studios, the work pictured throughout the website is primarily mine, but SoulSpeak often incorporates the works of other artists.
